Through the Toddler Years

The toddler season is full of big changes and even bigger feelings - for your child and you too. This class offers a therapeutic space to help you understand your child’s inner world while tending to your own experience as a caregiver. Learn to navigate this season with confidence and compassion as you honor your child’s developmental needs and nurture the parent-child bond.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Learn what’s happening in your toddler’s rapidly developing brain and nervous system; Understand the “why” behind common behaviors (and meltdowns)

  • Explore your own emotional reactions and triggers - the way your nervous system responds to your child’s moments of dysregulation

  • Gain supportive, practical tools for staying grounded in the moment, especially when things feel hard

  • Build connection through strategies rooted in regulation, play, and communication

Facilitated by Margo Tacey, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist, and Yoga Teacher, this class integrates developmental psychology, nervous system science, and relational approaches to support you in holding both your child's growth and your own with curiosity, compassion, and care.

Meet Margo!

Hi I’m Margo! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and owner of Lets Get Upstream. I have been working with adults, children and families, as well as with small business and large systems for over 10 years helping increase resilience and build capacity for healing.

I will work with you and your family to create a safe container for us to invite in self-reflection and inquiry so that we can work towards possibility in your life.

Tired of just talking about your challenges? I have intensive training in trauma-informed practice and use a combination of traditional talk therapy, expressive modalities and somatic interventions to invite your mind and body into your healing journey.
